Buying an original

How do I buy a painting?

Use Enquire to acquire on the piece, or send a message from Ask Angeles. She confirms it is still available, answers any questions, and sends a secure payment link (card or bank transfer). No account, no cart.

Can I reserve a piece while I decide?

Yes — a [30%] deposit holds a painting for [two weeks]. The deposit comes off the price and is refundable if you change your mind within that window.

Do you offer payment in instalments?

For works over [€800], the balance can usually be split over [two or three months]. Ask when you enquire.

Is there a certificate?

Every original ships with a signed certificate of authenticity and a short note on the piece. It is signed on the front and the back of the work itself.

Shipping & delivery

How long does it take?

Originals are packed and dispatched within [5–7 working days]. Delivery is then [2–4 days] within Spain, [1–2 weeks] elsewhere in Europe, and [2–4 weeks] for the rest of the world.

How is the work packed?

Small works and panels travel flat in a rigid box. Larger unframed canvases are removed from the stretcher and rolled in a tube [on request], or crated. Everything goes fully insured, by tracked courier, signature on delivery.

What does shipping cost?

Prices shown include tracked, insured shipping within the EU. For anywhere else, Angeles quotes the exact shipping cost before you pay — it depends on size and destination.

What about customs and import tax?

Deliveries outside the EU may attract import duty or VAT in the destination country. That is set by your customs authority and is the buyer’s responsibility; Angeles will tell you what to expect for your country.

Do you ship framed?

Works are sold unframed and ready to hang unless stated. Framing can be arranged before shipping for an added cost — ask for a quote.

The work itself

What materials do you use?

Oil on linen canvas, board or wood panel; watercolour and gouache on [acid-free 300 gsm] paper; occasional mixed media and collage. Oils are varnished for protection.

Are the colours accurate on screen?

They are photographed carefully, but every screen differs. Ask for extra photographs, a video, or a short video call before you buy — Angeles would rather you were sure.

Can I see a piece in person?

Studio visits in Níjar are possible by arrangement. Otherwise a video call is the next best thing.

Commissions & prints

Can you paint something specific for me?

Yes — a place, a view, a bird. See the Commissions page for how it works and guide prices. A [50%] deposit books your place; [6–10 weeks] is typical.

How are prints different from originals?

Originals are one of a kind, painted by hand. Prints are archival reproductions, made to order and shipped worldwide by Fine Art America — a separate service with its own 30-day returns.

What if something arrives damaged or not as described?

Tell Angeles within [14 days]. Insured shipping covers transit damage, and she will make it right.
